About

IMG_0008_14I began performing marriage ceremonies in 1971 when I was ordained a deacon for the Archdiocese of Boston. I took a leave of absence in 1972 from the seminary and married the sister of a classmate in 1973. We raised four wonderful children and presently are the proud grandparents of eight.

Having retired from the Massachusetts Probation Service after 34 years serving the public in the role of a probation officer and chief probation officer, I am now employed part time as a criminal defense attorney for adults and juveniles, mostly representing indigent clients who can’t afford an attorney. I am also an adjunct faculty member for Anna Maria College, having taught many criminal justice courses, ethics, philosophy, and religion.

I am an active member of the Massachusetts Justices of the Peace Association, and Justices of the Peace of the U.S.

I have performed many weddings, both formal and informal, both civil and religious, both same sex and opposite sex weddings, and I marvel each time at the spark of love and creativity and individuality in each couple I meet. I am honored and humbled to have you consider me as the Officiant at your special wedding ceremony.
